TERMS&GOALS

“Our goals to make realize visual art exhibitions by taking PEACE as the main theme in promoting Artfriendship&Solidarity and Peace, no Violence, and an active attitude against War.

I have suggested to realize The First Art Action of Artists for Peace Group in Istanbul where the beautiful world-city which is a bridge between two continents from one to another side of the world. The suggestion has been accepted and supported by the artist Alberto Cerritos who is the Founder of Artists For Peace Group and many member artists of Artmesh, together.

We aim to come together in İstanbul with our artworks; within sounding by our unique feelings, thoughts and ideals for the world peace. We issue the beauties and forces of arts instead of wars and violences, by the concepts of peace; Love, Freedom, respecting of human rights, political and cultural pluralism within a global context, throughout the world.”

ART DICIPLINES: Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Digital Art, Video,Installation, Performance.

PROJECT DATE: Autumn of 2009 (September-October-November 2009)

PROJECT PERIOD: Minimum 15,maximum 30 days

PARTICIPATION: Open calling and announcing to The Artmesh Member Artists. The Participant Artists have been complated in deadline 5.March.2008.

STEPS OF THE PROJECT:

1.To arrange the participant artists'presentation of the Project,by open calling the member artists of Artmesh.

2.Promoting the project presentation in order to arrange
Exhibition Spaces in Istanbul.

3.Determinations of the artistic –technical and financial statements.

4.Project Program

We are in the second step of the project;dealings with The Art Spaces and programming the procedures of the project with the concerned persons and institutions.

*Some results of these contacts;

1.Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University has confirmed supporting our project.I am in contact with some other Universities'Fine Arts Faculties,too.

2.We are in contact with a respectful and good Art Gallery ;KARŞI SANAT ÇALIŞMALARI; www.karsi.com
The Gallery is agreed in working with us for the AFP Art Action Project 2009.

3.We are in contact also with a State Gallery;We have got positive acceptation by this Gallery Jury.So we are waiting for the official acceptation.

4.Two Photo Galleries are agreed to work and support on our action:

a.Istanbul Fotoğraf Merkezi: Videoshows, performance, workshops, slight shows

b.Istanbul Fotoğrafevi:Photograph Exhibition

5.We will start to apply for sponsours after we have complated all formal agreements with these institutions.

5.So dear friends;

You may begin to create your new artworks for The First Artists For Peace International Art Action İstanbul 2009.

*The dimensions for paintings;

1.For the short side: Minimum 81cm
2.For the long side : Maksimum 146cm
You can use different dimensions for example;81cmx100cm,
89x130cm,97x146cm etc.between the limits of the short and long sides.

*How Many Artworks: Minimum two artworks;for paintings,
sculptures and digital Arts.

*Installation and performance; You have to send your projects models till the deadline;30 August 2008
