ALALEH ALAMIR I was brought up living in many countries and speaking various languages fluently (living between Europe and India now). My background influences every aspect of my artistic process and as time passes it explains ever more my concerns and position towards many issues. My other life long practices (yoga, meditation ) and my love for nature, poetry and mathemathics also have their influence. Throughout the years i've explored many media but drawing has remained the main process to which I always go back. My approach to any medium and making drawings is very instinctive as well as intentional. I use lyrical correspondence to express a sense of flow as well as permanence. At times all my concerns find a resolution in some of my major installations, which i don't use as a genre or style, but as a means to express and communicate what i wasn't able thru any other form.
