Portuguese african native, born in Luanda (Angola). 27 of August 1969.

Professionally he develops a carrier as anthropologist, museologist and museum curator. He has a scholar background in Anthropology (licenciature) and Museology (master degree).Regularly leads the management of cultural projects (museum management) and events (exhibitions and cultural shows). Also build up a prolific scientific research and intervention in museology and cultural studies (university; seminars; public lectures) with already some academic reports, reviews and articles published in Portuguese university or other specialized publications.

Recently initiated his own activity in the creation of visual-conceptual works: short films, videos and photography, most of them, plan to be added in the exhibition context or for screening. Some of them are related to his professional ground (anthropology and museology) and others in a completely free-way focused in some of the issues he considered central to his thoughts and feeling: own memory; day life; travel; historic events; human civilization process; war; peace; technological development.

The main subject of his visual work materializes experiences involving the re-treatment of moving and still images (video-cut process; video loop; conceptual photo) and also the use of sound experience and original music (in the case of video or installation with the musician and sound engineer António Bragança). Also started a photo and filming project regarding a literature (fiction) and ethnographic (documentary) perspective.

He likes to process in a work in progress long-term basis and almost every time the final work reflect an ironic vision of Mankind point of view.

One of the most recurrent methods used consist in subverting the original direction of the moment through the manipulation of the photography and cinematographic element to reach a new approach to the interpretation of human values or feelings.

Off course he doesn't consider himself as an artist. More like a sampler . The word sampler is derived from the Latin ‘ exemplum' - an example. Following a pattern range from a simple sample to a complex new example of things (creating a parallel world of colour and feeling). Designing a new range widely in style, from accurate reproductions of day life pieces to much more contemporary and future ones.

The outer space of urban life (real world - human) and the inner space of dreamland (parallel world - phantasmagoric). A story between the fast motion of cities and the slow motion of memories and dreams.
