Sevgi Ürüm, Turkey-İstanbul

Sevgi Ürüm is born in Ankara on 19th. November 1953. She graduated from the Graphic Art Branch, of the Drawing and Painting Department of Gazi University, in Ankara 1974. She completed her licence degree at Anadolu University in Eskişehir, in 1994. She worked in The Ministry of National Education, as a graphic and painting artist, as an art teacher in the high schools for 22 years. Within this period she worked at the Educational Center for Film-Radio and Television in Ankara, as a graphic artist(1976-1981).

She founded Painting and Drawing Studio in Aegean University and gave lectures on drawing&painting for Aegean University's Students (1997-2001). While she worked officially, she continued to do artworks and activities. She had many solo and group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad since 1974. Her works are in many public and private collections in Turkey and many countries of the World. Her writings on arts are being published in art magazines and newspapers.

Sevgi Ürüm lives in Istanbul in Turkey. She continues artworks in her studio Taksim/Beyoğlu/Istanbul/Turkey. She is the member of A.I.A.P. Unesco (International Association of Art), Association of Fine arts(GSB) She is the member of many international and national Art Web-Sites.
