 Twins Tower-#-1 Acrylic on canvas Date of origin: 2006 Since 1985, I have completed 120 paintings in the “War Series.” The “War Series” paintings express the anger and sorrow I feel about the many mass killings around the world. I ask myself these questions: What kind of beings are we? What takes us to the lowest level of darkness? Are we slaves to the politics of the politicians? What have we learned? Where is the justice? In my paintings, I am sharing with you the pain I feel. My paintings plead for hope. Let's hold hands. Let's hold our children, our sisters, brothers, mothers, and fathers. Let's hold our world. |
