 The horrors of war Kosewitsch, Mirjam R. The work expresses several aspects of the horrors of war; from the second-hand-experience via TV which most people only have and which does not, to my mind, allow them to say anything, to the fact, that misinformation (“embedded journalism”) or no information playes it's part in making the horrors of war possible by giving no or no reliable grounds for public opposition and resistance; furthermore investigative journalism is muted for propaganda reasons – in short, the death of information can be seen as a collateral damage and precondition for war and it's horrors. At least one hopes so. |
